Once again I would like to thank you for such a wonderful vacation. We cannot stop talking about it and everyone here is very interested in what we did and how everything went. Other than the heat stroke that I suffered, we cannot find one thing to point out that went wrong. The personal attention that we received was very much appreciated. I would like to pass on how grateful we were to find Ali waiting at the airport for us on our departure. We never would have figured out how to get from one terminal to the other without his assistance. With that said I would also like to pass on an apology to Ali on behalf of Kori. Ali took us to the correct terminal but Kori was insistent that he was wrong and was very vocal about it. After we found someone at the terminal who explained to Kori that we were in the right area and that she did have our tickets and that she was in the wrong, she finally calmed down but omitted to apologize to Ali for making such a fuss. My name is Aegina Angeliades. I am a 35 year old Greek American single woman who loves to travel.
I often visit Greece , where I still have family, in the summers. As I planned the trip for summer 2007, I wanted to add an additional stop on my itinerary. Since I would be traveling during my 35th birthday, I wanted to go somewhere special. I chose Egypt.
I didn_t know the first thing about Egypt so I visited a tourism site and got a lengthy list of travel tours. I communicated with many of them but ultimately chose WEDJAT TOURS.
I chose WEDJAT because they corresponded with me in a professional and helpful manner. I was e-mailing back and forth for 3 months prior to my trip and was given great information about Egypt and the sites and then customized a trip with them. I was guaranteed a price and itinerary. I was given telephone numbers and was even contacted by a WEDJAT representative on the phone while I was still in the States.
I chose a 6 day/5-night personalized tour. I was taking my younger sister and was a little uneasy about visiting a middle eastern country but I really wanted to see the pyramids!
Upon my arrival at the Cairo airport, I was greeted by a WEDJAT tour rep. They got me my entry visa and escorted me to my hotel. For the remainder of my days in Egypt, I was picked up from my hotel by a driver AND guide and taken to the various places I chose. I was then always left back at my hotel.
Being an American, I grew up with a lot of misconceptions and fears around Muslim nations and the Middle East. The primary language in Egypt is Arabic and the religion is mostly Muslim and these are things I am not familiar with at all. I also knew little of the political status of the country, the currency and the traditions. All of these things did not matter because I was completely cared for and by the WEDJAT tour guides. I felt completely safe, protected and comfortable during my stay in Egypt.
I was also put up in the best hotels, toured around in a private air conditioned van, given great historic information, told about the culture and society and overall well cared for. My guide even got me a birthday cake and took me on a Nile River Cruise for my birthday! I met my driver_s family and his wife made me coffee!!
Besides being a great learning experience and quite cultural, I had a blast. My sister and I had such fun with our guide and driver. We laughed and told stories. We really bonded as friends.
I highly recommend a visit to Egypt . There is so much to see in this mysterious country. Cairo, the Giza pyramids-camel rides, Luxor, cruises, the Nile River, the cuisine, the culture, the temples and tombs, the museums and monuments.the list goes on and on! I would never have gone, nor felt comfortable trying to manage the sites and the country alone, however. I highly suggest getting a tour and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using WEDJAT! I plan to return and do a cruise with the rest of my family and would ONLY USE WEDJAT!!

Our Egypt trip was everything we hoped for and much more.  Abu Simbul and Philae were dazzling, as much for the fact that they were moved as for their inherent grandeur.  The temples along the Nile certainly gave us an appreciation of the civilization that constructed them. And the pyramids ­their architectural splendor and their mystery were simply awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the Nile River Cruise and the two days at Hurghada on the Red Sea were just what we needed to relax after 10 days on the go. We found Wedjat Tours after a web search and it appealed to us because it included excursions that were optional on other tours, yet the price was still very reasonable. I confess to being a little apprehensive at dealing almost exclusively via email, but Hamad, your prompt and complete responses to our questions eased my fears.  The “small group” idea was particularly enticing, but imagine our surprise when we found that we were the only two people on the tour.  What a luxury! All the arrangements went off without a hitch, from being met at the airport in Cairo and swept rapidly through immigration and to our hotel, through all of our subsequent travels until we were ushered through airport check in upon departure.  Our hotels were all top notch and we especially enjoyed the swimming pools at the resorts in Giza and  Hurghada! We were extremely fortunate in our Cairo guide.  He not only gave us a great deal of insight into ancient Egypt, but he talked with us at length about modern Egypt.  Our discussions about similarities and differences in our two cultures were among the highlights of our trip.  He realized that we were as interested in modern Egypt as we were in ancient . Egypt and he went out of his way to include some pertinent extras in our trip, including coffee at a village café where we were offered fresh grapes by men at a neighboring table, a night walking around downtown Cairo, and a ride on the Cairo metro.  He even made us a couple of CDs of Egyptian music. This was an amazing trip and it allowed me to experience so much more than I could have ever done alone. My wife and I recently completed a Platinum Tour of Egypt (11-20 Jan 2006).  In short, we were extremely pleased with the tour, and Wedjat Tours help with all the details of the trip.  I am active duty Air Force, stationed in Brussels, Belgium.  Hamad Galwy was our contact at Wedjat Tours, and he did a suberb job.  I would like to also compliment our tour guide in Egypt, Mr. Ahmed Takla.  Elia did a 100% professional job leading our 22-person group in Egypt.  He kept the tour on schedule, adapted readily to changes in the itinerary, had a wonderful knowledge of the sights, maintained a great sense of humor, and truly made the success it was.

We would like to take a few moments to thank you Wedjat Travel for the opportunity to visit Egypt this past January. We learned so much during our step back into time; it was overwhelming! Our cruise-ship was very comfortable and clean. Our tour escort was very pleasurable to be with and full of information.

The tour was well-planned and executed. Given the logistical planning that goes into putting together the transportation and various admissions to Egypt's ancient sites, I don't know how one could plan such a trip on one's own. Very good holiday.  We didn't get chance to complete the survey before leaving Cairo so will do so in the next day or so and mail it to you.

On the whole the tour was very good with the 4 day Nile cruise being the highlight.  In Egypt your agency Wedjat Travel did a good job for us. We had a good time. 

The trip was enjoyable but very hectic. The guides were very nice and we enjoyed their 1 on 1 attention that they were able to give us. You have 2 good people there for sure. We were especially thankful for getting us superb balcony views of the Nile from our hotels in Aswan & Luxor. On the night  before our return to Canada, they got us a Pyramid view room. I asked for some CD/DVD’s on those places and our guide duly obliged...which was nice of him.

I would say that this whole Egypt trip requires a minimum of 2 wks. But yes it WAS enjoyable and we did get to video tape (camcorder) most of the places so that now we can look back on it and show to friends & family. I have some friends already asking about our Egypt tour.

The trip was absolutely wonderful; from the moment I arrived at Cairo airport to the sad moment that I left. Egypt was everything I've ever imagined and so much more. Apart from the pyramids and temples, etc., the food was good, the people invariably friendly and welcoming, and even the bathrooms were clean. The so called 4 star hotel actually put me in a huge suite!  I do want you to know that the Wedjat Travel staff went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we wanted. They were all efficient and friendly, but I want to especially praise the Guide.  As well as being an excellent tour guide during the seven days he spent with us; he was an interesting teacher, an enjoyable traveling companion, and when I felt poorly for a day, he was very concerned and kind. Trip was excellent. We feel we had an ultimate adventure. We loved our tour guide Hamdan. He was the most flexible, knowledgeable, terrific person. He 's an extraordinary, conscientious young man. We really appreciated him. He referred to me as "Isis." I guess I always knew I was a goddess.

We liked the room at the Middle East Hotel. It was a large suite, and quite comfortable.  Same thing with the Bella Vista in Hurghada. Lovely property, nice food, great pool. The Novotel in Luxor - their grounds and pool are lovely.

We thank you very much for upgrading us to Lady Sophia cruise ship. It was wonderful. Cabin stewards were just wonderful. All in all, this was the adventure and trip I had hoped for, and loved learning about, and exploring ancient Egypt.

After traveling to Luxor by sleeper train, we arrived to join our cruise at 5:30 AM.  The Luxor travel rep was friendly. In Aswan we also certainly had a diligent escort called Noor, who was professional and charming and represented the companies well.

Everything else was just wonderful.  The hotel in Cairo was splendid and our tour guide Shimaa was very good.  The cruise was fabulous and the ship very nice.  The agent was highly efficient in coordinating our transfers and letting us know what to do at every step of the way. Let me just start by saying Wow!  Egypt is everything we hoped it would be and more.  We could not possibly had a better time.  We had an excellent guide in every way.  He was very good about laying out our schedule to us in advance so that if there were any questions or other things we wanted to do he had time to take care of it.  His knowledge of the sites was super.  All of the guides we had were very good but one guide stood out from the rest.  The guide from the boat was wonderful. Let me stress once again we had and excellent time and speak very highly of Egypt and Wedjat Tours.  We will definitely recommend you to family and friends.  Thank you for a wonderful and memorable vacation.

Egypt was beautiful. We truly enjoyed ourselves. I had been to many countries and Egypt ranked as one of the most beautiful. Below are some of my comments. The sight of the Pyramids at Giza and the Sphinx on our first day was awesome. We had seen many documentaries and read a lot about them but to really be there to see them is an incredible experience. Ali and Mohammed were very good companions. The next day at Abu Simbel is another unforgettable experience. In fact, this is the monument that I wanted to see most in Egypt and we were not let down. Karnak Temple is another magnificent monument that took our breath away. Overall, we had a real good time. The guides were good and knowledgeable. Thanks for everything and please send our regards to Ali, Mohammed, Zain, Saeed and everyone else.  

Our trip to Egypt was wonderful. Meeting Hamdan, with his knowledge of Cairo made it a high light.

We had the best holiday ever! Being the only ones that week also added to the pleasure. I have to admit I was very wary @ first, having nothing tangible about our holiday other than a few emails. Booking flights, HOPING someone would be @ the other end, however I am delighted my "doubting Thomas" thoughts were totally unwarranted & we had the most superb holiday. We saw so much in such a short time yet there was still time to relax & unwind. The 2 hotels with their superb views of the Nile (& pyramids smog permitting) were breathe taking. After we saw the Giza pyramids & sphinx we thought that was the highlight of our holiday, even though it was on our first day in Egypt & thought well that was it, but time after time other things equalled it & for the life of us we couldn't single out any of the great places we visited as THE highlight of our holiday, however, it would be fair to say the one thing that is captured in our memory was the horse ride along the banks of the river Nile with fine views of Luxor Temple on the other side. You can travel by 'plane, train & automobile as they say & dash here & there, but to have time relaxing, just to meander through the countryside see how the locals live then it opening up onto the river Nile was really special. I do hasten to add it was the first time I had been on horse back so this is no keen equestrian waxing lyrical!

The way the week was organised was great & to readjust the week when I failed to report for duty on Monday was much appreciated & don't feel we missed much as a consequence. The knowledgeable guides, Ayman & Ahmed made the tour much more interesting & gave us a much better understanding & appreciation of what we were seeing. Our gopher Mohammed & the drivers were also great. Every one treated us as individuals rather than just another an coach load of sheep being herded here & there (I know it would have been difficult to herd us like sheep when there was only 2 of us but you know what I mean).

We have 15 rolls of film we are eagerly waiting to see & put in an album before we forget what was where, but we'll never forget this holiday. If you even need a reference then we would be only too pleased to give one. Many thanks to you both for a brilliant time, it was great meeting you & if you are ever in our neck of the woods then let us know as we'd love to meet up with you again. Our best regards & hope you firm goes from strength to strength.

The trip to Egypt was absolutely, positively amazing. Jennifer and I have a deep loving for the country and its people now. Your guides: Hala, Mohammed, (Luxor: Hassan, Raymond, Ahmed) were all professional and full of knowledge. We were a demanding group and the guides were there to deliver. No, I have not forgotten Hamad who stands in a group of his own. Very accommodating, flexible, professional always thinking steps ahead.

Your Company, Wedjat Tours get my highest award. Jennifer and I travel frequent and we have not encountered a tour company as masterful as yours. Hats off to you! The trip was excellent. The excellent guides who adapted the tour meant that I could fully appreciate the various sites visited. The organizers within Aswan were very helpful and appreciable. The guides in Luxor and Cairo were excellent with very high levels of knowledge as well as English skills. The time allocated for some parts could be reviewed with some days being combined. The accommodation was excellent but the food was variable.

We had a memorable trip to Egypt, with many highlights. The Sherry Boat with Saad as a guide was fantastic - and we loved that view from the Cairotel. Lots of pleasant memories - great place. 

I did enjoy our trip and Ayman, Asruf, Mohammad, and Abdula (all probably mispelled!!) were great guides. I commend them all. Doing a trip like this in a small group was wonderful.Take care. It was a grand adventure for me..
